Happy July.
I spent the weekend in Minden, Louisiana.
Point of Grace—one of my favorite groups on the planet had a Sips and Songs Event.
It was so surreal.
I have followed them for 25 years and their songs have been the playlist for so many of the events in my life.
And this weekend at 2:00 in the afternoon on the third floor of this incredible house in a room filled to the brim with conversation and laughter and music bouncing off the shiplap walls and Point of Grace sang their heart out as I sat two coffee table lengths away from them soaking up every note.
Right behind this house there’s a tiny house and at the top of the steps tucked into the eaves of the second floor is the CUTEST SWEETEST cottage decorated with wonderful, amazing layers of pattern and color.
I opened the door and gasped when I saw it.
It was as if someone had decorated it just for me.
I took a zillion pictures to show all of you.
Are you ready for a tour?
Let’s GO.

Before we get started….
….I want to try something a little different today.
I am a TALKER.
A chatterer.
A professional word-hander-outer.
Whether you are behind me in line at Walmart or walking on the sidewalk in front of my house…
….I never met a conversation I didn’t like.
But what if today I didn’t talk. I didn’t chat.
Instead? What if I went wordless on the tour.
As in without words.
S.I.L.E.N.T.
You know just beautiful pictures and more pictures and a few more pictures…..
…..with way less words.

I’m going to try to just show you the cottage with this amazing wallpaper and these layers and layers of colorful pillows and this pink checkered ceiling and let the pictures talk for themselves.
I think that’s how they do it in magazines sometimes.
I’ll try really hard.
But I’m not making any promises.

Oh and one more word before I start the whole wordless thing.
If you follow Sarah from Simply Southern Cottage on her blog or on Instagram?
You’ll probably recognize the house.
She has tons of Air Bnb’s that she’s renovated and this one is lovingly referred to as the Barbie house. She is such an inspiration and completely overhauls these properties and decorates them with joy and celebration.
Truly.
You can see all her rentals here.

Just look at this color combination in the bathroom.
Black and pink.
WHAT?
That faucet in the shower was NEXT LEVEL and I loved the pattern on the floor so much.
The amenities were incredible (the body wash smelled so good) and the towels were so soft and fluffy.

Oops.
I just remembered.
I wasn’t supposed to be talking about this kitchen or this backsplash or these gingham bowls that I ate my cereal in or this vintage cookbook or the microwave that looks like it stepped out of an episode of The Donna Reed Show.
Okay.
I’m serious now. I have so many pictures to share (there were so many of the cutest things to photograph) and I need to try and share all the pictures with you before Christmas.
So from now on it’s only pictures—zipping my mouth right now.
Wordless tour…..
……GO.

WHEW.
I made it.
I DID IT (holding my breath and telling my hands not to type the entire time).
I hope the tour inspired you.
I hope you picked up a few ideas for your own home (especially for decorating with vintage finds).
But just between us?
I think this might be my last wordless post.
Sigh.
I don’t think I can ever be a non-talker even when I try. I just can’t help it. Life is short and…
….I have WAY too much to say.
